Dear FutureMe, It has not been easy. Studying a new language at a mature age is a challenge. There has been stress, frustration, tears, and sadness. But at the same time, there is joy with every new word learned, every word pronounced well, every comment or phrase understood. These are reasons to feel happy, because they are achievements. I have many responsibilities, but I hope that my future self will have reached the goal of being able to communicate with others in a language as important as English
