Time Travelled — 12 months

Peaceful right?

Dear Natalie, First of all, how are you? I am writing to you from probably one of my lowest points of life. But I know you're a warrior and you'll come out of this stronger than when you went in. I felt this was the perfect time to write you this letter because this was a significant turning point in my life. I've been picking up the pieces of my heart and trying to mend it together again and right now, I dont know what the end result will look like. But you do. This break up probably seems like a distant memory now right? Did you ever find closure? Do you remember the moment when you fully let go? When you found your spark again? It was a rough start to this year but I know you made it through. I'm still hurt even as I write this, it's been over a month now. Some days I do struggle, but I let it hurt, because that's how you heal. You did a lot of soul searching, healing and unravelling into your true self. How do you feel now? You learned a lot about yourself didn't you? You were always wise but you probably have a lot more to say after what you went through. Do you still journal? Right now it helps me a lot, I never thought I'd ever be a journal girl but it truly is amazing how much heartbreak shapes and changes us. I hope you found peace and happiness again, but even better than it was before. Are we still at Disney? Did we ever get that dance contract? We were always the type to just ride the wave and so much can happen in a year. I hope wherever you are, you're happy. Did we make any special connections? Friends? Love? The thought of love sounds terrifying right now but sometimes things happen when we least expect it. Did we travel? Knowing you, we probably did. Where did we go? What was your favourite place? What was your favourite memory? What was your favourite memory of the past year? A concert? A vacation? Did we achieve something great? Or maybe it was something simple? Last question.. what has been the biggest change in the last year and what's the most valuable lesson you've learned? You're so strong and resillient, you should be proud of the person you are and the things you've done. You can overcome anything, it doesn't matter how many times you fall, because you'll get back up every single time. Trust the timing and let things be. Take a deep breathe, continue being you, continue to love and it will find it's way back to you.
