Dear FutureMe,
I've just received a letter from last year and I was in Lokoja, battling Toniona. Lmao. If not for this letter, I wouldn't have even remembered anything from last year except that up till now, my friendship with Chioma has successfully withered into whispers. I am no longer sad; only resigned.
Let it be.
Happy Easter, Ma'am. The devil really tried to steal my joy today but I persevered: I went to church, I danced and forgot that my shoe pulled from its sole, or that Obinna seized all through the night, or that my date with Koko is rescheduled. I really did leave my worry at the altar and waltzed back into the real world, ready to take it on.
Congratulations, I got a house in no 26 Ayim Pius Crescent, Lugbe Abuja. Isn't it fun to have a house number and a place to call your own? At 24?
How's Sommie and Coco? They've not moved in yet but should by month's end. Tell me all about it.
Have you got your workstation and fridge yet?
I'm currently thinking of supporting daddy with either 100k for the house construction or Kamsi's school fees henceforth. You should know by now which of the above I'm able to complete or maybe even both.
Is it just me or is Obinna Onuigbo holding resentment? His mood is not as hippie as it used to be when he earlier resumed? As long as it's not because of me then I have nothing to worry about.
I'm currently reading Frankel Louis' book Likeable Badass and I'm learning new things about status and power, especially with dressing intentionally, even if you're only going to the mall to get milk. I used to dress as a potato on certain days based on how I feel but now, I'm taking it a bit more seriously.
I've got to go now. I'm rooting vigorously for your joy.
See you next year.
