Dear FutureMe,
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,
Wow. Wowww.
You know yesterday I showed Naila the letter and I was like "I did everything!!" She was proud of me, as always, Ma Shaa Allah. My bestie girl.
Yes, you did a lot. Threw yourself in uncomfortable situations. Started SJP?????!!!! Stuck to working out and also learning to not beat yourself up on some days. Made so, so many new friends. Learned so many things. Very involved in the MSA (we have an event on Monday). I love psych this semester lol. One evening and one night class, and I'm learning and connecting a lot in both, Alhamdulillah. I'm kind of looking forward to summer semester. Excited to learn and further cement that minor in bio.
Here's the plan fellas: keep working once a week at the masjid. Finish credits here at ECC. Transfer to Kean. Do psych internship and finish degree. Med related job. Fill up any credits leftover. Apply to PA or med school.
(In Shaa Allah to all)
It's okay if things seem hard in the moment. This semester, I've truly learned the phrase "one day at a time". Only 24 hours at a time. Sometimes 12. I've grown a lot mentally (physically too? or so Naila be saying) You are more than capable. Allah (SWT) put you in situations He knew you would overcome. This Ramadan was also my first "keep going, keep trying" Ramadan. And Eid felt like a taste of Jannah, Saihan. That should be enough for you to keep trying. Allah is here. Keep running back. Keep praying. Keep asking. He answers.
I just PR'ed at 2 miles today! Alhamdulillah. More to come, In Shaa Allah.
--right here with you,
Saihan
