Dear Nahomi,
Today is April 1st, 2025, 8:50 pm. I completely forgot I wrote a future letter to myself/you six years ago, and because of my mindfulness class, I remembered and found it again. After reading what I wrote and looking back at everything that happened, I want to say thank you. Thank you for bringing me here, for making me strong, resilient, and persistent. I wish I could have a time machine and give you the hug you deserve, but now it's time to look to the future.
I'm about a month or two away from graduating with a master's degree!! Who would have thought...? I didn't. I didn't believe in myself; I wanted to die. Many things happened since 2018, and I have grown. I hope that within a year, you are in a better place and have the apartment you always wanted, with the peace of mind you always craved.
I love you, Nahomi. You have been a good granddaughter and a good daughter.
Hope you are healthy and in a better position.
