Dear FutureMe,
You are 58 years old, almost 59. I have no idea what’s going to happen to you during this next year or if we’ll even be alive. But if we are alive, let’s just take a moment to thank God for this past year.
I hope you are remembering to allow God to be in control of all moments in all situations. I hope you are having making time to let the breeze touch your face, to do silly dances while washing the dishes. To love on your people, to let go of resentment every day over and over. Forgive those who’ve hurt you and forgive them again, and if you can’t forgive, then ask God for the desire to forgive. To let go of all resentment. To choose to see what is good: yes, we are imperfect, yes, we hurt others, yes this world is broken and painful and we are only sojourners here. So if any Good exists, it should be celebrated. Any blessing in the day should be cherished. And our hearts should rise up in a song of praise to our beautiful and merciful God.
