A letter from Mar 17, 2025

Dear FutureMe, I hope you're still a *****. It just downed on me while studying for this excruciating Montenegrin state exam that there is a little arrogant nerve I seem to serve with people. The inevitable "I am better than everybody else" stance that, I seem to get now, I get the people that tried to point that out now. It was harrowing how it dawned on me just as I read my political rights of the Constitution. The flip side of that state of mind is synonymous with my self-perception, though. A lived paradox, perhaps. But my message to you is, yes, keep being a *****. I'm so proud. And who in the hell convinced you ever were a people pleaser, maybe a mother pleaser but nothing more than that. Rest assured. A lot of love, H
