A letter from Mar 05, 2025

Time Travelled — about 1 year

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe,, Hi? Hows it going I got accepted to uwc last november, by i i mean we. My life took a crazy turn and now it feels like i can do anything since i achieved the biggest goal ive set for myself. Im going to uwc, you are currently in uwc, isnt that crazy? I still dont know what i want for uni. But im leaving that for you to figure out in your time at uwc. I was just reading letters to a young poet. Its very weird how letters written around the 1900s can still be very relevant to todays world, especially to me. Every sentence in that book hit me like an arrow. Im going to take that to uwc with me. This time im not going to write a motivational message, instead im just going to write the things i hope that will happen in our time there. I hope you.. Found romance (a healthy one) Became academically good Rediscovered your creativity Started doing art again And became who you wanted to be This message will arrive to you exactly a year later and im very excited to read it next year. I said this wont be a motivational letter, but im proud of you. You will struggle there but you have the power to manage everything Love you, “ You are so young, so before all beginning, and I want to beg you, as much as I can, dear sir, to be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” -rainer maria rilke
