A letter from Feb 22, 2025

Dear FutureMe, there's exactly 12 days until i'm 17. you'll receive this 12 days before you're 18. hopefully, by then you've forgotten what i wrote. some things that happened this month: me, gopika, and alanta are obsessed with uno. we play it whenever we have any free time. occasionally, simran, devayani, and anriya also join us. devayani's probably changed schools by the time you get this. anitha mam said i'm a good tutor. my friends think so as well. i still think i suck at the only thing im good at: writing. i submitted my work to a few magazines. won't hear back until after the deadline for those is over. i hope the year's treating you okay so far. 2026, huh? mom and i went to the grocery store today. we bought hazelnut ice cream. dad's in a mood again. he went to guruvayoor today. my phone's broken. i still think my english teacher doesnt quite like me. he likes the 'popular' kids more. i feel like a paperweight on an empty desk. did you join the anchoring team for the annual day? hope u did. im clean. aleena is great. i know youre still best friends. i hope nothing ever changes that. i hope things are still somewhat the same. i love you, future me. don't forget to write back. love, your almost 17 year old self.
