have you seen the show, "*** life"?
in it, there's this woman who works in new york. her ex-lover is a doctor, he runs clinics all around the world and travels to amazing places. but after 10 years, he returns to nyc to marry her.
she asks him, "why?"
he talks about some of his travel stories. he climbed mount kilimanjaro in tanzania. he said that it's such an amazing feeling, standing at the top of africa, and all you want to do is turn around to the person next to you and say, "isn't this the most amazing thing ever?". but there's nobody next to him. so he came back to new york for her.
while i do think there's some logic flaws here - such as, they could travel the world together, and that would be more ideal. but the woman didn't want to, so he chose her.
anyways, the point of this long story is that, yes, while it's amazing to solo travel, having all these crazy adventures doesn't mean half as much as if i experienced it with you
