Dear FutureMe,
he's only been gone for three and a half weeks. During that time I've dealt with illness, difficult school projects, starting college full time, a broken bone, injuries, and standard parenting three young kids problems. And all of that, felt less stressful and anxiety inducing than living with him. I don't have heart pounding anxiety anymore. I haven't felt shaky. No one has been shouting at the kids. He's shown his priorities since moving out, and they are not the children or me. If time dulls the edges of the pain living together caused please just know this, you made the right choice. This was the right decision.
I hope by the time you get this we've found friends and don't feel so alone. I hope college has helped you find a career path that makes sense. But if not, no pressure. We'll take this one day at a time.
