A letter from Feb 10, 2025

Peaceful right?

Letter to my future self February 10, 2025 Dear FutureMe, If you’re reading this, you’re probably somewhere smelling the ocean breeze, with your toes buried underneath the sand with a delicious frozen piña colada, just thinking to yourself how incredibly blessed you are! Sounds like a scene out of a movie, but after all the sacrifice and hard work you put into making sure all your hopes and dreams come true, you finally get to rest, breathe, and soak in all that you deserve! Since you were a young girl, you always knew you wanted to be great and live a comfortable life; you just didn’t know the road would be filled with so many directions to choose from. I guess that’s the magical thing about life: based on the choices we make, little or small, they all lead us up to “this point,” the points in our lives where we get to look back and reflect on all we have done, just to get here. One of your biggest hopes in life is to be happy, maintain good health, and build strong, lasting relationships. In addition, invite new experiences and room for personal growth and self-love so that you can be the best mother, friend, and partner to those you keep close to your heart. No amount of money or material things of this world can compare to the innocence of love received and shared with those closest around you. Although you dream many dreams, the dream that stands so profound in your DNA, the dream that pushes you to keep going with ease and so much grace is the dream to help others freely, to be able to share a piece of kindness and generosity with the people and animals who habitat this earth, would be a dream worth never waking up for. A dream where you can share and relate with individuals around the world, providing a reminder that they matter despite their circumstance and each person influenced by a life of giving and receiving love at its purest form and intention would be an optimistic result of this dream. Do you remember the days you woke up grumpy because you had to get to school or do homework before going to play outside? Look at you now, a true professional who provides exceptional service and intellect, an individual others want to work with and get to know. Life after college is still life; however, you plan on saving and investing in a property to start building a safe, cozy place for you and your family to call home. Although you don’t know the demographics of where you will build, you’re aware that home is where the heart is, so it doesn’t matter where you are; it’s who you’re with! Richell, by this time I expect you to have released the burden and guilt of your past and truly embrace all you have overcome to be this version of yourself, the version you can stand in front of a mirror and be proud of. You smile even when things don’t seem to go your way because you know bad situations are never permanent but temporary, and you can get through it. You look forward to what life has to offer because it always brings you back to the sun when it starts to rain. You’re attentive to the fact that your body is a temple in which you must demand respect for yourself and others; you nourish your body with the earth’s gifts to ensure you’re at your optimal health and fitness goals. You communicate effectively and shed light on others who feel they don’t have a voice of their own to use. You are your own best investment, and you provide an exceptional example of just that, and others turn to you for mentorship and leadership. Your vision is so clear it provides the way for others who simply just can’t see yet; most importantly, you are you, one of a kind and uniquely crafted to shine in your own extraordinary way.
