A letter from Feb 05, 2025

Time Travelled — 12 months

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Currently is February 2025, you been through a long immigration process that halted your education, your personal life, and your family time into something you never imagined, at the moment of typing this you're married, just moved to San Diego and you live in the first apartment you found when you could change cities. You miss the nature from Wichita Falls and the quiet of it, but you quickly embrace the light hearted people from California and its amazing surroundings. Is a difficult time to not be worried, but loosing hope and not putting a fight for whats your dreams is not an option. I can see it as I close my eyes, you're going to stand up for yourself and you will make everything your heart desires to happen because we have made it so ever since we can remember. I say we, me, my past versions and this future self who's reading this. If you become hopeless or feel tired think of this letter and how we could always stood up to adversity and how the strength of our family has carried us to persevere. We can't be close to everyone we love, but we carry them with us all the time. We owe it to them to be the happiest, the healthiest and the most successful version of ourselves, in whatever capacity that is. Your timing is correct, your path is the one you should be on and there is always hope even in the darkest of times, remember the words of Edith Eger, and all the amazing authors who've shaped our mentality and our resilience. You're enjoying that car your dad advised you to get, he's always been wise on life choices, even this one, you are enjoying the visit to your brother in Milan and the new life of your parents on a new city. Everything you were worrying about, fell into place and as your mother says, life has a way of flowing and happens in the right way. Nothing is to waste, not even the bad parts of it. Keep striving for kindness, for greatness and stay humble. Your faith has surpassed every challenge and your spirituality is all over the place, we see God in every color, in every light any pair of eyes reflect to us, in every breath and breeze. I hug you now and you'll always will have this version of me in you. You'll only get better. You'll be in better shape and will be grateful of the healthier choice currently made, you will know this letter is a reminder of hard times come to an end and that as long as you keep standing, there is a chance of making it happen. Maybe just maybe I wonder, you will finally accomplish this dream of holding a little version of your self and of your wonderful husband who loves you more than anything in life. Remember with this type of love, you have everything and more. I can't wait to meet your new friends and to see the house you picked to start saving now, by then hopefully we can start picking the one we can stay to grow old in. Your job is the result of all the unspoken prayers and is a reminder of these days, remain grateful. Don't be scared to feel and don't put for later the presence of uncomfortable feelings. It's been a year, and you are happy and lighter. Nice to meet you!
