A letter from Feb 04, 2025

Dear FutureMe, HEY *****!!! HAPPY ******* BIRTHDAY!! YOURE 20?!?!?! I JUST TURNED 19!!!! tbh, i don’t feel any different than i did before. i didn’t cry the day before my birthday this year !! tbh, i barely even registered it was my birthday today, so i didn’t even register that yesterday was the day before my birthday. i cried when before i turned 16, 17, and 18, but this year, i think it’s a little different. i cried when i turned 16 because i felt like that was something HUGE for me, like some kind of milestone. i cried when i turned 17, because 17 was the year before i turned 18, and i cried when i turned 18 because that meant im officially an adult. i’ve been an adult for a whole year now, and honestly, i guess that does feel a little different. i’m still immature AS ****— but i don’t see that changing (even when im 60!!). i got lots of happy birthdays today !! i spent today at work!! OH YEAH I STARTED WORKING AGAIN !! i’m working at Foundever as a TurboTax Product Expert, meaning i take customer support calls, and i help them navigate through turbotax. you already knew that because you’re me bUT wHaTEveR. i was on a call for 2 HOURS TODAY!!!! i made the mistake of telling him “i won’t disconnect from the call until you’re entirely ready for me to”…… spoiler alert: he wasn’t ready like- ever. i won’t go into the nitty gritty, but the call was mainly just him mumbling to himself as he put in his tax information, and then asked me “what do i do now?” …. the answer was usually “press the continue button” 😭😭😭. either way, he was pissed when he called, but i was able to de-escalate the situation and he was okay by the end of it. he asked me how much experience i had, and i said “less than a year…” ***** IVE BEEN THERE NOT EVEN 2 WEEKS. NOT EVEN A WEEK AND A HALF. IVE BEEN THERE FOR 7 BUSINESS DAYS TOTAL. (Monday-Friday, then Monday and Tuesday [it’s Tuesday right now]). anywaysss i totally annihilated that call. enough about work though !! mallory is laying on my lap right now, sleeping super cutely and peacefully !! i wish i could show you a picture !!! it’s 5:13 PM right now, and so far for my birthday, all i’ve done is work, but that’s okay !! i might do something later, or maybe over the weekend, but for now, i’m going to eat some food and probably watch The Walkikg Dead— i know past me (me from january 1st, 2025) told me not to just stay in bed and binge watch my current hyperfixation I KNOWW— but technically i did do something new and not boring !!! i worked !!! and that wasn’t boring because i was engaged in something and was doing something soooo…..!!!!! anyways, i hope you’re having a great and awesome and fantastic 20th birthday !! what have you been up to ?? did you work/are you working today ?? do you have any plans ?? i don’t have plans again, but maybe you do !!! i hope everything is going well for you, and i hope you’re at a good place in life. i love you so much, and i hope we’re doing ******* phenomenal!!! xoxo with much love, 19 year old you 🫀❤️
