Dear FutureMe,
Hey there. It’s me—well, you—a year younger, writing from today, wondering where you are and how things have changed.
Right now, you’re working hard, pushing yourself to grow, learning everything you can about cybersecurity and DevSecOps. I hope you’ve made progress, landed exciting opportunities, and built confidence in your skills. Have you conquered that imposter syndrome yet? Even if you haven’t, I hope you’ve learned to trust yourself more. You’re capable of more than you realize.
I wonder what challenges you’ve faced over the past year. Were there moments that tested your patience, your resilience? Whatever they were, I hope you handled them with strength and grace. And if things got tough, remember—you made it through. You always do.
Beyond work, I hope you’ve taken time to enjoy life. I hope you’ve laughed a lot, stayed connected with the people who matter, and chased the things that bring you joy. Have you picked up any new hobbies? Traveled anywhere new? Please tell me you’re still making time for yourself and not just grinding away.
Most of all, I hope you’re proud of who you’ve become. Even if things didn’t go exactly as planned, I trust that you kept moving forward, adapting, and growing. Keep being curious. Keep pushing boundaries. And never forget—you’re on the right path.
Take care, and don’t forget to write back in another year.
With hope and belief,
You (from the past)
