A letter from Feb 02, 2025

Dear I guess this date is now an anniversary for cute days. You just received your last year’s letter and it was telling you and reminding you of your first big Lindy hop party with a carnivale theme and guess what? Tonight there is also Lindy hop party with a carnivale theme and you will wear the outfit you wore last year. At this time last year you started realizing how cool it is not to only read white Eurocentric POVs and now somehow by intent or at random you’re not reading any white authors. You’re reading “Maman a un amant” by Calixthe Beyala. Last year you were ordering Frankie manning’s biography whereas right now you’re about to finish normal miller’s. Well, you’re halfway through. You’re so excited!! Todays been great. I’m currently writing this letter at the Park Wodny stop at 3pm, the sun’s shining super hard and I love it and you just went on a hike with Klaudia to Dolny Bolechowicka. After, you went to the water park together and the sauna. You’ve hiked, you’ve connected with nature, you’ve bonded and seen a new place and you’ve swum. You’re content. It’s been a great Sunday morning. This morning you were scared that your hiking boots were covered in poop from your last hike but to your surprise they’re actually very ok!! In the hike today at the Dolny, some lovely strangers offered Klaudia and you some sandwiches and water in case we needed any. They were super sweet and kind and neighborly. Today in a few hours, you’ll have the first book club meeting w the girls. You’re so excited!! It’s a way for you to connect more w your long term female friends who are super cool. You’re so excited to keep up more w thiziri and Ariel and constantly text them. And patty and Liz and Klaudia too. Klaudia is a beautiful person. She’s very different from you. She believes in meritocracy (for now hahah) and she loves you and you love her. Last night u made pizza and her half was covered in Pepperoni and yours in zucchini and mushrooms. It was really cute and funny to see the mix. It’s a needed mix. I like Klaud’s range. A princess who hikes and goes to the water park. I love it. She’s invited you to go to London. You’ll go and you’ll try to recruit her and Julian to do Lindy hop. It’d be so amazing if they did!!! It’s been a great Sunday. Your legs don’t even hurt. Swimming was healing. Nature is great. Preserve your trees. It was a nice reminder to not eat so much meat and be careful with your consumption bc you care about preserving the world like this. You told Klaud about your family’s whistle, at least the Gomez side and how you need to learn to whistle again to be able to replicate it and carry it onwards. So rn you’ll text grandpa and mom for a voice recording of it and compare them. It’s so amazing to have a grandpa you can text. You’re so lucky. You’re so blessed.
