Dear FutureMe,
We made it! We're 18! We're about to graduate highschool! Onwards with our future! But it feels very bittersweet, doesn't it? Writing this, we're 16 and a half, but we already know the feeling well. The feeling of disappointment that 16 isn't what 7 year old us was taught. Wishing we were younger when we used to dream about when we were older. And yet, it's exciting. Fresh new territory labeled adult. Have fun exploring it, but don't lose sight of the path God has laid out. Through heartache, uncertainty, and the reality of the world we live in, don't give up faith. Keep your eyes on God. He's the one consistent thing here.
Good luck with 18! We have every right to go as far as we want to. Be the teacher we always wished we had. But first, get that education.
