Dear FutureMe,
2024 was a year! Many great things happened; I turned 17 and had an amazing birthday party, won Cape Atlantic League State Champs for track, attend the Harvard Gala of Religious Freedom, traveled a bit, took senior pictures, had senior sunrise, started my senior year, went to my first and last homecoming, won most likely to succeed at Senior Breakfast, hosted my first friendsgiving and friendmas, had a lot of fun with friends, and even got an interview with Harvard University. There were a lot of wins this year but I also learned some valuable lessons. This year I came to the realization that soon I will be ending a chapter in my life, my childhood, and slowly entering adulthood. My future is in my hands, I have to decide where I will go from here. Winning most likely to succeed put me under more pressure than I already am because I have to live up to that title, not to please or prove myself to others but to prove to myself that I am capable and worthy. With this upcoming year I will be experiencing so many lasts so I’m making the most of these few months I have left before I’m off creating my future. I need to lose the habit of procrastination, be consistent, build my relationship with God, be confident within myself, and have an overall (spiritual, physical & mental) glow up. What I do from now on will be towards my future. I’m in the college application process and when I look back at this I’ll be at whatever college that’s meant for me. So this year I’m truly locking in and doing everything that I need to be better. Lastly I hope that I keep my passion for creating particularly through my business The Crafterina and Crafterina Kitchen. I hope that in college (and the near future) I come up with a new innovative way to still have my business that can inspire and impact people for the better. I’ve already built a name and reputation for myself so I just need to grow from here. I’ve worked too hard, so failure and not being something are not in my vocabulary. I truly just want to look back and be proud and say yes I did that! I just know and feel it in my bones that God has greatness instored for my life and I can’t wait to see and live it out.
