A letter from Dec 31, 2024

Dear FutureMe, I could sit here and reel off a list of things I want to achieve, a tick list of what I will compare my 2025 to. A pass or fail sheet to if im worthy. So, i'm not going to do that. I'm going to write to you to say, I hope you're happy. Like really truly happy. Whatever that may look like in 365 days time. I hope you set boundaries that benefit you, and goals that terify you. I hope that every god **** day you wake up grateful, passionate and with fire in your belly. I hope that you are the healthiest you've ever been, that you push your body until you know, enough now. I hope that you no longer live life by a list, you focus on feeling and drive every decision for what is right, right in the now. I hope each decision you take, is for a more positive future, put your finances first, even if that means taking the hit now. I hope Percy is still the apple of your eye, whether that be digging holes, stealing socks or a field champion. I hope the next year you find new hobbies you're passionate about, just because you enjoy them and they make you feel like a child again. Splash in the muddles, laugh because you can and live as fully as possible. Explore new places, make the memories and stop caring what everyone else thinks. I hope NO is your new favourite word, if it means saying yes to yourself. I hope you finish the things you start, even if they feel hard, scary, or that they are not meant for you... you'll never know until you try! I hope you seat yourself in bigger rooms, amonst people you can learn a lot from. Don't be afraid to ask questions, to ask for help and be proud to be learning new skills and information. I hope you finish the plans you put in place, to give you every chance to succeeding, whether that be fitness, running, or whatever else you find in 2025. I hope you remember to tell your family once or twice, just how much they mean to you. It's their first time doing this all too. Pour out so many tears in 2025. Whether they be with laughter or sadness. Feel so many feelings - it means you've loved, and lived! Most of all, I hope you've chosen YOU this year. Because you deserve it x
