A letter from Dec 30, 2024

Dear FutureMe, Well :)) 2025 has come to and end too. I hope you had a better year than the previous one. Truly. And not in a matter of fate or destiny, I truly hope you did everything in your power to make 2025 a better year for yourself. I hope you allowed yourself time in 2025. I hope you tried to make progress towards stopping pushing yourself too much. I hope you learned to live life as simply as one could, to stop focusing on what isn't there and instead you focused on what you had. I hope the elections were good. I hope your country is in a good political state. I hope you graduated high school with great scores and you managed to get admitted into UNATC too! And I hope you found more of your calling this year. I hope college will be good for you. I hope you left some of your insecurities behind. Not left necessarily, but learned to let them go gracefully. They are not your enemies, they are just hurt parts of yourself that you need to heal. I hope you hugged them. I'm writing this on a night where, as per usual, I'm scared I don't like books and I can't read them. I hope you ******* left this behind you in 2025 BAHAHAHAH. No seriously, PLEASE leave that part of yourself behind. It's not helpful. So, I couldn't NOT say it: I HOPE YOU READ YOUR STUPID BOOKS THIS YEAR <3 I hope you are still best friends with Sonia and Anca, that you feel good at college and with the new people there (maybe you even get into a healthy relationship? which I don't necessarily want for you, but as long as it would be good and healthy, I wish you the best<3), and I hope that you learnt how to leave behind relationships you outgrew. As Galinda said, I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY. Truly. Because you deserve to be happy after everything. I hope you head no longer hurts and your heart no longer aches, and I hope that, for the first time in more than half a decade, you feel like you can breathe freely again. I hope you're happy, me. I love you, even though I don't show it. Have a great 2025, me. Lots of love, yourself. <3
