A letter from Dec 29, 2024

Dear FutureMe, It's going to be 2026 soon when you read this. But for me, it's almost 2025. Let's talk about this year! Setting the scene: it's December 2024. The UHC CEO was just assassinated by Luigi Mangione. Chris McCausland won Strictly Come Dancing and Danny Jones is King of the Jungle. Smithy and Nessa finally got married in the Gavin and Stacey Christmas special. Everyone's obsessed with Wicked and our hair just got dyed pink and green. So.. what happened? This year has been awful. I'm really hoping next year is better. This year has been marked with pain in our love life, especially from Maples. Thank god it's over. We lost Valhalla, Nicki, Apollo... But we still have Lotus. We got fired from our job and we're looking for a new one. But things aren't all bad. We've been going to the gym quite a bit and we have a couple dates lined up. We're going to go to a board game café with Kai and we're going ice skating with David. We've been using Finch for nearly 100 days now, and Duolingo for over 150. We'd better not have broken our streak! We're thinking about going back to university or getting an apprenticeship, but we're not sure what we want to do. We've also made friends with someone on Discord, their name is K'oeti. We have a new obsession with gnomes, and we're watching the Resident. I hope 2025 is a better year for us. - Fido and Jasper <3
