Oh, how wonderful it is to finally put what we have been feeling, for what feels like an eternity, into words. We've always been searching for something more, haven't we? Even when we were little, we'd always known that we wanted to live a life built on the foundations of love, patience and- most importantly, freedom.
Freedom to love who we want.Freedom to express ourselves without judgement.Freedom to be happy.
I truly hope that by the time you read this, everything has fallen (or has begun to fall) in place. I hope you've grown into the man you needed when you were a child. A man who is kind, gentle, creative, loving, supportive and strong. Don't let doubt slither its way into the crevices of your heart.
Not only is that kind of burden heavy, it is not yours to bear.
So, promise me you'll try to remain steadfast and rooted should you find yourself lost and overwhelmed by the tides of life. Promise me you'll continue to explore the world with childlike curiosity. Promise me you'll continue to tell stories. Promise me you'll love wholeheartedly and ceaselessly because I love you, kid.
I love you with everything I am and that will never change, no matter what happens.
