A letter from Dec 24, 2024

Dear FutureMe, Just randomly came across this website on tiktok; although i should be revising for SPM rn (procrastination at it's finest) ... It's currently 24th of December 2024, honestly doesn't even feel like its the end of the year. 2024 flew by, its been a fun and eventful year. By the time I read this i'll be 18 and the year 2026 will be coming soon.. Lot's happening soon, finals starts in 9 days. As usual, I don't feel nervous nor stressed out even tho this is the real deal. NATIONAL EXAMS mannn. So, how were the results? My current predictions are 7As, hopefully at least a B in Chemistry and a pass in Additional Maths. Tbh, I've actually given up on AMath but we'll see. Moving on, I still don't know what I'm planning to do after graduation. What have you ventured into? I really hope it's something fun, been researching on future pathways lately and there doesn't seem to be much that piques my interests. Wait.. but a year from now would mean that i've just only started pre-u. Okay, so how's life in pre-u? Did you get any scholarships? Have you made any new friends or perhaps met up with anyone you knew beforehand in the same course? Is pre-u much more chiller than hs? Enough about school, have you gotten your driver's license? Started your unpaid job as your sisters' personal driver? Okay haha. Heard that i have a few trips planned in the coming year, were they memorable? Graduation trip with friends, family trips and potentially a semi solo trip? Gang please tell me we followed my parents to Japan. Missing that place sm. ALSO, please stay safe, especially know my clumsy *** self. You are still in touch with all your friends right? How was graduation & prom? Oh right, how was the reunion with your primary school friends? Last saw them during a meetup around this time in 2020. Have you gotten a part-time job for the first time? Where? I swear i need to stop feeling guilty spending my parent's money and start earning my own. Even though it's just a single meal outside. Have you bought that stack of kitkats that you've been wanting all for yourself? Also, i think it's time to update your wardrobe. Okay next.. have you been in contact with any potential male species yett. I know my chill guy act with guys are cool and all but girl I do not want to die with my lonely ***. Oh yeah before that, is Laufey still your top artist on spotify? Please tell me Laufey 3 is out. How is it? Okay found some questions. What’s the most memorable experience you had this year? Do you miss high school, or are you happier now? Personally, I feel like I would love the freedom of not having to follow a school routine but also be sad to step into the real adult world. I'll probably have other thoughts that I'll be dreading instead of having to wake up at 5 every day. Next... have you gotten back into sports yet? I know I said i'd stop for a year because of exams but we know very well that it's just an excuse. Maybe join a sports club in uni? Netball, basketball, running or hiking. Whatever's fine as long as you just don't be lazing around all day long. Obv not good in the long run. I do miss the times I went on comps. Before I end, I'm kinda concerned on the state of the world rn. Is the war (********!!) against palestine still ongoing? How's the current weather? Is there any recent floodings like now? 600+ words.. how long is this thing supposed to be? Ishall stop here, too much yapping. Lots of filler words here and there but i guess that's just how I am.
