A letter from Dec 20, 2024

Dear FutureMe, time goes by so fast, doesn't it? how did the university year treat you, do you think it was better or worse than this one? whatever (or whichever?) your answer is, just know that you did your best. right now, I'm working part time in that design agency you got in from school. are we freelancing now or working somewhere else? i think it's a blessing to be able to work in a field that you genuinely love, and to get a degree in it too. you're really 20 now, although i'm 19 i still feel like a little kid sometimes. is it that way for you too? it's kind of scary to be an adult all of a sudden, with bills and taxes, driving licenses and jobs. but it's also thrilling, i've tried so many new things and i'm sure you did too. did you meet my boyfriend yet? i hope that whatever happened, you're doing your best to find joy in all the little things (and the big ones too). stop putting so much pressure on yourself, everything's alright in the end, plus you always find a way to make it work. that's how we do it, all the love and support you and I need can come only from ourselves, but don't be scared to lean on other people. it's not bad to open up and let yourself be seen, you have the power to have the life that you want. so pursue it. moving on. how's the family celebrating christmas? i know it's been tough these couple of years, but i sincerely hope you're doing great, ginger cookies are always delicious. also, you should buy yourself something nice, i know it's hard treating yourself sometimes but after this year i think you deserve the world and more. i still love pink things, gold jewelry, miniatures and my big comfy bed. i'm trying to update my wardrobe to be more like me, healing my nose ring, thinking about finally getting my license, trying to truly believe that i deserved to be loved the way i want. but i know that it starts with myself, and that it's a long journey. still living with my parents as well, i'd love to move out to have my own space. i'd decorate it as nicely as i can, like my pinterest boards here: https://www.pinterest.com/gbrielro/inspo-para-casa/ or maybe a little less pink (i hope this link still works). thank you. i love you.
