A letter from Dec 20, 2024

12-20-2024 Dear FutureMe, I am so grateful for how far you've come throughout your journey as an international student. The road has not been bright all the time, but every hardships you never give up, you choose to persevere even if looks impossible. I admire how you stood up for yourself every time things are not going well, I admire how you advocate for yourself every time you need to share your stories and find light in the middle of the dark. In 2024, you went through so much, but in every trial you overcame it all. You were let down by so many people but through it all you found the people God preserved for you. You have lost few, but gained many people who have chosen to walk with you in moments of discouragement, sadness. Today, you are struggling finding a job right now, but you are relying on God's timing because you are a firm believer of Christ, and believe that the Lord knows exactly what he's doing, and he already know which job is for you, where you belong. He is just preparing the way for you. Also, beginning of my journey here, I had sponsors supporting me but left me in the middle of the road but God picked me up when I thought that I had no one. I just want you to know that a year from now you will see how far you've come, and how God will elevate you. You don't have all the answers that you need right now, but God can elevate you in front of those you don't want you to progress, he will show up for you like always. In 2025, I pray that you accomplish all the things that you want. With discipline and determination, you can DO IT ALL! I pray that 2025 be the year that shows you that everything you went through was not in vain. I pray that you get more than what you've asked for. In 2025, I want you to invest in your health, in your nutrition, in your body, and your mind. Put your mind into things that will only benefit your well being. Your future self will then thank you. You have the ability to realize it all! In 2025, I want you to be reading this letter and count your blessings. Most importantly, I want to get more closer to God, and also have TESTIMONIES. I've been thinking about giving testimonies because the Lord is going to reveal something really GREAT to you. You will be in another place by next year. In 2025, I want God to guide my path, turn my situations around, and pour blessings onto me and my mom. It comes with so much tears sometimes trusting God, even if you know he has never forsaken you, sometimes you have that feeling within you that makes you worry, but he is the SAME GOD TODAY & FOREVER. Trust me, everything will fall into place, everything you want, you'l accomplish. I will be introducing myself to myself. You will be great again, you will be living in your answered prayers. Focus on yourself, prioritize God, stay connected with your friends especially those who brings you closer to God. I know you have been through to so much in 2024, but you overcame them all. A year from now, you will be in another season. Today, you might crying for a change in your situation, you might battling with daily anxiety, but believe me you will be in another place. Remember that God only has plans for you to prosper, and not harm me. I hope that this year, you were able to accomplish all the things that was on your vision board, I hope you get out of this toxic environment that is trying to tear you down every chance they get it,I hope you move in silence and don't let people know your moves, I hope you do youuuuu! Most importantly, I hope you are managing nursing school pretty well, and studying hard to make your mom proud in two more years. Erica, I love you so so much, I wish I could just hug you, and tell how proud I am of your resilience, and determination. You are a germ, and you will get through whatever comes your way. Not even kidding right now, I pray that you meet your person, and stop talking to dummies. Allow yourself to love, don't rely on past experiences. A part of you is carrying those hurts and trauma till' now, I hope right now you are able to move past a lot of situations that were just lessons. Also, have boundaries, and do not let people cross them. You will be great Erica, God will make you somebody, even if in the eyes you are a "nobody." I know you are in nursing school right now, I hope you met genuine friends who have no animosity towards you, and friends who are helping you moving forward. You will be just fine. I hope that year treats you more better. Did you get to travel to Canada? Did you find your boo thang from God? Did you visit mommy or are you visiting her and Bella soon? I hope you had a great summer with your friends, and did things that you enjoy this year. Love youu a million timessss, see you in 12-20-2025 🩷
