Dear FutureMe, I’m writing this, after I just found out this website exists, from Simão who is sitting next me to me now. As I’m writing this, I hope you finished high school, I hope that in a few months you’ll be going into university, and not repeating a year. But even if that didn’t happen, and you’re gonna repeat a year. It’s ok, know that I’m proud of you, and that I’m sure you’ve tried your best. Moving to a new country is hard, and studying when you don’t know the language is even harder. It’s ok, take your time. Are you still on medication, or have you stopped? If you stopped, did you stop because you got better or because you gave up on trying to get better? Are you clean, I’m hoping that by the time you’re reading this, you’re at least a year clean. I also hope you’re still friends with Sarah, and that your relationship with Jomana is getting better everyday. Are you doing better now, how are you really?. Did you get taller, I’m now 153 cm. Did you get a cat yet?. Are you still scared of clowns?. What of our dreams did you achieve yet?. Do you regret anything I did, or anything I didn’t do?. Do you ever feel mad at me? Do you ever resent me for being so weak? I wish I could tell you that I’m trying my best, but I know I’m not. I know that deep down, I’m slowly giving up on myself, and as a result, on you. Have you found love? Have you found the most important type of love, and no I’m not talking about romantic love, but about self-love? Also, have you found romantic love? Things probably ended with gingerbread, I hope I’m talking about the crush, and that things didn’t progress more. But if they did, I’m really curious about how it went. Your crush on him has most probably faded by now, but I can’t help but wonder how or why it faded. How is your hair doing? Have you moved closer or more afar from Allah?
