A letter from Nov 18, 2024

Time Travelled — 10 months

Peaceful right?

Dear Donna, Today is Monday, November 18th, 2024. I know you’ve been going through a rough time these past few months, but through it all, you’ve held on to your faith. I’m writing this letter as a reminder to never give up. Stay resilient, and trust that everything will work out in God’s perfect timing. His love for you is infinite, and even on the days when your faith feels shaky, don’t let go of it. My hope is that you’re reading this on September 1st, 2025—your 28th birthday. By now, I hope you’ve started grad school, maybe at Columbia University, pursuing your international program like you dreamed of. You’re currently talking to someone named Ousman, and while things might feel uncertain right now, perhaps he’s the one. By the time you read this, maybe he was there for your graduation in May, and maybe—just maybe—you’re engaged, pregnant, or both. I also hope you’ve finally embarked on your international trip or are in the process of planning one. Donna, never forget that tough times don’t last forever. You’ve already overcome so much—challenges that felt insurmountable—and yet here you are, standing strong. You are God’s star, chosen and special. This letter is a reminder of all you’ve endured and all you’ve accomplished. Happy 28th birthday, beautiful. May this year be one of true abundance, joy, and peace. You deserve it all, and more. With all my love, You
