Dear FutureMe,
I hope that by the time you’re reading this, you are in a place where you’ve achieved many of your dreams, and if not, you’re well on your way to getting there. I want to remind you of the person you are right now, as you are filled with so much hope, ambition, and love for the world. You have a heart full of dreams, and I’m sure you’ve been working hard to turn them into reality. You’ve come so far, and I’m excited to see where life has taken you.
Right now, you’re navigating through so many beautiful challenges- teaching, studying, growing, and figuring out what the future holds. As I sit here, I can’t help but wonder where you are in your journey. Have you finally taken that leap and moved into a space of your own? Is your dream of being independent a part of your present now? I know you’ve been thinking about it for so long, and I hope that you’ve taken those brave steps towards the life you’ve always wanted.
I wonder how much you’ve changed since I wrote this. Have you grown more confident in yourself? Do you still find it hard to stand up for yourself, or have you found ways to express your feelings more openly? I know you’re sensitive, but I hope that through time, you’ve learned how to balance that with your strength. Life can be overwhelming at times, but I trust that you’ve learned how to navigate the ups and downs. You are stronger than you think, and I know you’ve continued to surprise yourself with what you’re capable of.
How are your family? I hope you’ve stayed close to the people who raised you and supported you through the toughest of times. I know there have been moments where you’ve felt distant from them, but I hope you’ve found peace and understanding in those relationships.
What about friendships? Are you still surrounded by the same amazing people who love and support you? I hope the bonds you’ve formed over the years have only grown deeper. I know how much you value your friends and I hope you continue to cherish and nurture these relationships. I hope your bond with them has stood the test of time, and that you’ve been there for each other through thick and thin. I also hope that you’ve made new friendships along the way that have enriched your life even more.
Have you found a job yet? I hope so. I know it’s tough, but I believe you’ve been putting in the effort to get closer to your dream role. I hope it’s something that excites you and brings fulfillment.
Have you found time to write more? I hope you’ve continued to nurture your love for writing and journaling. Writing is a part of your soul, and I hope you’ve made it a priority in your life, whether it’s through creative writing or reflecting on your journey.
As for your dreams, I hope you’re still chasing them with the same determination you have now. Have you traveled to the places you’ve always wanted to see? Japan, the USA, and more? I hope you’ve had the opportunity to explore the world, even if it’s just one place at a time. Every adventure, whether big or small, is a piece of the beautiful life you’re building.
I also want to remind you to be gentle with yourself. I know you’re hard on yourself sometimes. Feeling like you should be doing more or achieving more, but I hope you’ve learned that your worth isn’t defined by what you accomplish or how fast you accomplish it. Take time to breathe, to rest, and to enjoy the journey. Celebrate the small victories along the way. Life is not a race, but a series of moments that shape who you are.
I hope you are surrounded by love, peace, and fulfillment. I want you to know that I am incredibly proud of you of the person you’ve become and the journey you’ve taken. Life won’t always be easy, but I know you will continue to shine through it all.
