Dear FutureMe,
Wow, you turned 32! You have a whole daughter now, outside of your body and living her life! WIIIIIILD!
Right now, as I write this, I am your 31 year old self, currently 30 weeks pregnant and feeling like I must have swallowed a watermellon seed. My hands and ankles are swollen, I can't sleep but constantly feel like I want a nap, and I have The Hunger like I've never experienced before. I have been hoping and praying for a safe, easy, and beautiful birth. How did THAT go? I hope our daughter is growing well and that you are so much deeper in love with her than you ever thought possible.
We're going through a lot of change right now in our little family. What job will Chris have by the time you read this (hopefully something lucrative)? Have you decided to go to law school? Are you doing something totally different? Are you staying home with your baby girl?
For me, I'm pretty stressed sitting here in the unknown. I wish I had a roadmap to show me what would be ahead and what to expect, but I know that we don't really get that in life. I hope it's all better than you've dreamed and that you're feeling fulfilled. Whatever you decide to do, I know you will do an amazing job.
You have dreamed of being a mom your whole life and now you get to finally experience that. I'm sure there are challenges. But you can weather any storm if you and your husband work together. Please try your best to savor these baby moments -- they are the moments I am looking forward to!
Love, yourself
