My dearest, Zyra.
I would've loved to live in the same apartment as you, but that's the future we would not have anymore. I've always wanted to wake up next to you and end the day, still beside you. To come home from work expecting your face to be the first one I see. To spend my free days going grocery shopping with you. You, choosing what to buy as I push the cart. I would've loved to watch while you design our apartment the way that it fits your aesthetics while I make snacks for the both of us. It would be nice to hear your stories and the drama you're in. What a sight for sore eyes to see two toothbrushes whenever I prepare to go to work. Unfortunately, that kind of thing will never happen. I'm going to face the future without the sight of you, and you will too. In the future, I'll remember your birthdays, but I won't have the means to greet you anymore. You will finish college, and I won't be able to congratulate you, but I hope you know that I am always the proudest. If you're the one for me, I know we will see each other again when we least expect it. Until then, I'll wish you well. You're the best thing I will never have again, but I am grateful to experience someone as amazing as you. I love you, Zyra. Go with your life now with the love I gave you, it's yours to keep. Happy birthday to my favorite person. Godspeed, mahal.
Always,
Cha
