Dear FutureMe,
since when did everyone agree to study stem? my friend group with duhha calina alanna all study stem of some kind. all are in high math classes and high writing classes. always having lab. vivian and matt are both engineer majors. annika is comp sci major, sophia is med major, may is also stem major. i havent found my poli sci humanities major girlies yet. it can get pretty overwhelming because of the feeling that im not good enough. struggling in my intro to math prob and stats and wrt 105 classes. i am enjoying my intro to poli sci and pub policy classes. but today i got my module 1 public policy back, and scored a 70% where as my friend ryan scored a 103%. and he rushed it at the last possible second. for my nuitrition class, i havent found a friend yet, and scored a 50% on my first diet analysis. i got a 89 on my second one, so i am proud of myself. but that took alot of work. i dont even wanna face the amount of debt im gonna have. and the exams coming up that reminds me how ive never gotten an A on a paper test before. i feel guilty for taking naps or sleeping in. why do i stall and waste time like i have forever. im here on 60k student loans thats going to go up to 130k after i graduate to pay off. thats just for one year. absolutely terrifying and insane. my parents can’t help me with anything, my sister is always busy, and im here facing a bunch of strangers and i have to make connections. i think im off to a good start, but at night i overthink. i feel like im competeing against time. my parents are getting old, and all im doing is adding onto their debt. its ok, janice. breath. its ok to be sad and cry. but once youre done, wipe the tears away and get on going. laundry, shower, homeowrk, sleep. simple, yet effective. it sounds crazy, but it always just comes down to simple concepts. you got it.
Sincerely,
Janice
