yooo what's up
it's august 27 2024 at 7:55pm when i've started writing this. it's enrolment day at loreto tomorrow and i'm sat at the table with the ginger ball of cholesterol (cat) in front of me begging for food after we've just had an absolute banging chilli with copious amounts of sour cream. i'm probably going to go upstairs and sort out my enrolment outfit for tomorrow with the clothes we got from shein that arrived in a massive box and cant even begin to pack back up again - though it's probably not even that deep - but i want to make sure i make a good first (or second i guess) impression because you never know.
i recieved my gcse results a week ago in 2 days and they blew my expectations out of the water. no 9s as previously hoped but I
i got close!!! 1 mark away from a 9 in history (mental) i want to get a remark but mum says "an 8 is good enough". ffs.
anyway i think i'm going to just go ahead with geography at loreto with the shock 8 i got after an absolutely terrible first 2 papers because i'm pretty sure I actually do like the subject and want to study further, it was just that class that made it feel like a bore. hoping i get a bacon-adjacent geography teacher or at least a teacher who pays equal attention to every student in their class *shivers*
defo reckon i would've gone full mark 9 if i had hampson just saying
next topic VOLLEYBALL!! YAY!! (also moved into the living room typing this one) tryouts for national championship teams are in 2 days and i just don't think i'm ready to tryout for a team yet, let alone a national championship one. but then again the creepy little ****** angel on my left shoulder says that it wouldn't hurt to tryout even if you get completely brick walled and thrown out of the hall before it's even started, BUT the neutral brain in me says that it would be better to just email and ask what the demographic is. but that is also denied because i think my account is blocked from recieving external emails for some reason. got 0 confirmation emails for our pass exclusives after trying like 4 times and the oasis '25 presale confirmation email never came through either. i also emailed them a stupid email a week ago and they never replied (thankfully) but idk i'll try my luck probably on the bus home tomorrow and ask.
i've set this to arrive at your inbox around a level results time-ish where i'll hopefully get good enough grades to get into my firm uni choice. for college i've chosen biology, chemistry and geography - i'm so sorry - with compulsory core maths because i'm doing 2 sciences and loreto just likes to pull that type of **** (i'm lying i wanted to do core maths anyway bc i'm a massive snob for academic validation and i want those ucas points **** yeah you better thank me once you get into your uni bc you didn't get good enough grades but that core maths clutched and saved you š)
wahey now we're watching the tiny amount of pearl harbour that we'll get through before one of us gets tired which also has dutch subtitles on it that we can't remove
anyway hope you have a wonderful time at loreto and PLEASE if you haven't already try and get back in contact with wilson. i hope i haven't done myself too much of a dirty choosing 2 of the hardest a levels because i'm not actually that smart i don't actually know how i got those grades i think it's a big prank. you'll be seeing this after a levels so idk why i'm writing this now but hope you kept the 'studying from day 1' thing up bc it will be worth it i promise. the thing that kept me going in the last stretch of gcses was knowing that i'll get to do the things i want to do later on but if i slack on studying i won't be able to do those things. i also found comfort in my teachers and i'm actually praying that the relationship feels the same as it did with wilson and all of the others because overall i think that's mainly what kept me going. i think i'm going to write frequent reminders on this to keep on studying although i probably won't see them until im 3 years deep into uni or something. it'll be good to look back on and perhaps encouragement for my degree? but i'm not sure how much you can take from a 16 year old who has no idea what they're getting into when you're like 22 doing a £20,000 a year flame emission spectroscopy throwaway degree or something? have to finish this up and check if it's an actual thing because i actually quite like flame emission spectroscopy.
anyway it's now 9:14pm and i've put way too much into this than i should've but i would've probably just bedrotted anyway so it's definitely better use of my time. bye bye have a good day from 16 year old you express post to 18 year old you :)
p.s. post letter writing update they put an announcement out for the oasis '25 presale confirmation emails being delayed so i'm probs just being ignored by marvels BYE
