A letter from Aug 25, 2024

Dear FutureMe, Today is Joey's 17th birthday. We'll be in the house one year tomorrow. I don't remember anything about the move anymore, but I just got a letter from myself in 2023 saying that we were really stressed out. Ha ha. What a fool. You probably have no clue what he was referring to, because I certainly don't. This year we're working at Mastery Charter Thomas HS. I'm pretty sure I swore once that I'd never work for mastery. Yet here we are. Last year at TCS was a ****-show. At least this ****-show pays twice the salary. Anyway, as per the norm, I'm freaking out. But last year's email made me feel a little better. It reminds me - as always - that this too shall pass. I hope SY26 is looking good. Heaven knows what's in store for us, but Jesus reminds us ALWAYS that He knows what we need before we ask. You - O Daniel - are deep behind the walls of Babylon. How does a man of God face adversity? Go show them. I'll do what I can from here to get things steady for you on that end.
