A letter from Aug 23, 2024

Dear FutureMe(payton) hey girl !! The first thing I'm gonna say right now is sit there and let this moment sink in because you deserve every bit of it. we may have had somethings that we had to overcome but girl you did it!. you're about to be on your own and I know your scared because you can't even cook Mac n cheese on your own. I hope we learned how to cook because you're not the best at it, But other than the basic things that you will eventually learn you got this!. you have been waiting for this moment your whole life don't let it slip away. freshmen year was rough.. super rough but we made it out of it! because I'm a sophomore now! and I'm feeling pretty confident I'm trying to fix my ways so it's easy for you girl lol. Our best friend graduates before you (Joslyn) make sure you remind her how proud of her you are she's one of the best influences you have right now. Mom's not around right now but you're trying to be okay without her, and aye your getting the hang of it! even if she's still not around when you get this. Remember you gotta prove everyone wrong not just everyone but yourself too. You have a boyfriend right now and he's super sweet even if it doesn't work out remember you got yourself and sometimes that's just all you need. You cant let everyone walk all over you out there in the real world either. stand on your ground always, but if you're wrong just admit you're in the wrong. Your have high goals right now and all you gotta do is keep your head up. You live with grandma right now which hopefully nothing has changed I know you don't like it but it's just what's best for you. Continue to look after your babies (siblings) they need you. either there dad or if mom is back in the picture ALWAYS look after them no matter what, and don't let anyone tell you it's not your place too. You better still have stanley! that dog is your whole world and you wouldn't trade him for anything. Also please say you got a job girl, you can not make it anywhere without one and if you don't already have a car make that a goal you need one of those. I don't have my permit yet but I'm getting there! maybe slowly but that's okay your still gonna make it. sitting here righting this makes me so so proud of us, we have been a long way surely but we stayed strong and never gave up. your gonna have a story to tell one day it just doesn't stop here!.
