Time Travelling — almost 2 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Being 16 is very interesting. I turned 16 almost a month ago. I took my drivers license test... and failed it. It was really soul-crushing to fail something that you had confidence that you would not fail. I cried the whole drive home. You probably remember why I failed: it was because I almost turned onto a one-way--I know it sounds bad, but I promise I'm a good driver and the driving test instructor literally tricked me because she told me to turn, there was no one-way sign, and it was a two lane road which made it even more evil. But don't worry! You passed your next test two days later with only a few points off! It was so relieving. I then got hotcakes for breakfast at McDonald's with dad to celebrate. By the time you get this letter you will be on your way to college. I have a few dream colleges in mind right now, but if it is meant to be, God will make it happen. I was reading a few public letters before I wrote this and I just want to say how cool it is to see letters from the early 2000's! It is also crazy to me that this website was created that long ago lol. Anyways, I just want to wish you luck for college. It will not be easy, as it is one of the biggest changes of your life--moving away from home, friends, and family can feel like a punch to the face, but also a breath of fresh air. I hope that you are not freaking out too much for college. I know it will be so weird, especially because you have only moved once in your life when you were really young so you do not remember it. I'm 16 right now, but I still feel the same as when I was 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, and even younger! When I was younger, I would see people in high school and thought they were extremely old; now I am going to be an upperclassman who still feels like a child. I know that you will still feel too young to go to college, but you have worked your *** off and deserve to be there--no matter what. Be yourself because that is how you will find your people. Good luck FutureMe! I wish you the best of luck! No one is rooting for you as hard as I am. Love, YourPastSelf
