Time Travelled — about 2 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Hey, it is me again. Surprise, Surprise. I know you likely have just taken the Bar Exam... which is daunting as a rising 2L to even consider. I hope that was a massive weight lifted off of your shoulders. I am so proud of you! I can't even imagine what is ahead for my next two years of law school but I know I can do it and you are living proof. Currently, we are working at the Center for Law and Education towards the end of the summer. I just got a waitressing part-time job at Devlins last week (if that puts where I am currently into perspective) oh and we ran our ten-mile race. Did you continue to work at Devlins until the Bar exam? If you have continued to use tik tok let me use the opportunity to ask you some questions. Basically a Q & A from your past self. 1) Did Taylor move to Boston? Where is she now? 2) Are you still with Anthony? What does your relationship life look like now? 3) What area of law did you end up pursuing? 4) Did your 2L summer pay off? was the law review worth it? did you manage also to add mock trial, if so was that insane? 5) Are you happy? Is Ashley still your roommate? It is crazy to think even two years into the future because who knows, the world may change in many ways. Every time I have sat down to write one of these I always talk about people that are no longer in my life which is actually stressful. Hopefully, history does not repeat itself. I hope that you never let someone hurt you the way you had been hurt in the past. Thats easier said than done but you have to recognize that someone will do what another person wont for you. Hopefully law school has continued to build your confidence and your charisma. I am excited for you to start your life as an attorney and that you are done with school. School sucks sometimes haha. Currently spending the summer working a 9-5 is a blessing compared to the tortures of a school routine. Hopefully Charlie is doing alright, he is an old man right now. It was sad to lose Teddy so I cant even imagine life without Charlie around. I pray that everyone is still healthy and happy. I hope Ashley is finally engaged to Christoph or at least living with him as I know that is what she wants for herself long term. Who knows maybe you are considering living with someone as well. Only time will tell. I wonder what it will be like to desire to be engaged and to take those next steps in your life. If anyone can do it it'll be you! I am too positive right now for a 10 am work day. I am considering this part of my lunch break so I am writing this letter to you. Did taylor meet anyone or have any major life changes? I am so curious since she really could do anything at any moment. I wonder if you are working in education law or at a firm. I hope I get this summer associate position with Barclay Damon, who knows, you do! Either way, everything happens for a reason, always remember that. Family & Friends matter more than the money you bring in. Financial security is very important, but don't let that be the foundation of your life. Are mom and dad doing well? I hope they are fulfilled and very happy right now. I hope the next two years aren't too hard and complicated for you. We know school is challenging and so is studying but you are focused and I know you can put your head down to do it. You've accomplished a lot since I have written this letter I am sure of it. Tell the family hi! Don't let people drag you don't, stand up for yourself, speak up. This is something I am currently working on and hopefully, you have made major improvements since. You've got this :). I don't want to go back to school but I know it'll fly by again. Hopefully you felt that way too. Good Luck out there. Make lemons out of lemonade. Love your family. Be Kind.
