A letter from May 12, 2024

Dear FutureMe, We're in a bit of a bad space right now. Mentally stuff feels weird. Might be the empty moon. Might be the fact that it's mother's day (and that relationship took a strain). Might be liv8ng alone for the first time in your life. In a few months we turn 33! And we'll be in Australia 🇦🇺. How freaking amazing is that! And that's after spending a whole month in USA 🇺🇸. And just before spending a month showing a friend the beauty that is South Africa 🇿🇦 and a little bit 9f Namibia 🇳🇦 and Lesotho 🇱🇸 too. We almost threw in Mozambique 🇲🇿 and Swaziland 🇸🇿, but time runs out when you try and do everything at once. You found your passion. You love planning trips for people (especially when you can go with). You tried creating a website to start your own business, but Google locked you out. We're kinda stuck, but hopefully the new week will bring solutions. We're trying to shift the mindset from "I'm not good enough" to "heck yeah we can do this". We're struggling. We're also struggling with body image. We want to go see a therapist, but have no idea where to start. We want to go for lazer therapy to help with the body image, but decided not to do it. We also want to go to the gym and wax every month. But we've been struggling with income. We don't have a job. It's been a year. We don't mind though, we're just hoping for in income source. We're also having strange thoughts about being in a relationship. It's great, but it's also not. It's confusing thoughts and feeling and we're not sure how to deal with it. Did you perhaps figure it out? Did it all work out? Did we make it to the US? Are we traveling a lot yet? I bet we've seen more than half of the US by now!! And I bet you're back to running your favorite distance again. Ooh, and I hope you're running trails again. Anyway, we saw this video on TikTok tonight and thought it be a good idea to send future us a message. Whatever happened. We're proud of you. You've come so far. And you are so loved.
