A letter from Apr 24, 2024

Dear FutureMe, as i type this, im in the process of moving out of my apartment and back in with parents. i scheduled this letter to be sent two years from now, when my “lease” at my parents is up. are you moving out? or maybe you already have. there’s no pressure to do either: remember that. the world isn’t great right now and i’m sure it hasn’t changed much in 2 years. it’s expensive and ruthless to live alone. i know for a fact i won’t move out unless it’s with someone i’ve been dating for at least 2 years. i am NOT having a repeat of last time, that’s for sure. speaking of, are you still with gary? i really hope so. he makes me happy and feel safe. i really want things to work out between us. are you still working at starbucks? are you still enrolled in ASU? hopefully i’m close to graduating if i haven’t already. is sushi doing okay? my little sush! i’m gonna miss her so much while i’m over at my grandparents the next couple of months. supposedly the construction is supposed to be done by my 20th birthday, but we’ll see if that’s the case or not. anyways, i’m tired, and getting a tattoo tomorrow! so that’s all for now. ta-ta! ayla 2024
