A letter from Mar 26, 2024

Dear FutureMe, it is 16 year old you well almost 17😉 its weird isn't it knowing that you're writing this letter to yourself in the future (2 years and 5 months to be exact) though by then you might completely forget about it until it arrives in your inbox. I don't know what the days ahead look like from here but I have many questions and things I hope you've achieved. First of all, I want to point out that........ WE HAVE A BOYFRIEND AT 16!!!! and to make it 10 times better it's Brave your bestfriend of 4 years ( 5 years and 11 months for you) I know right mind-blowing tbh I'm still in shock. who would have thought this was going to be the outcome in September 2020 when we first met him? I am forever thankful to God for putting him in my life and putting me in his. now that's my first question how are things going with him?I hope good. Have you made things official yet have you gone to California to visit him have you met his family have you kissed him.............. did you guys sleep together? ok, I know that is a super weird question coming from your past self and you might even think we were naive at the time for asking but it's something I'm going to think about and wonder for a very long time also does Mom and dad know about your relationship with him and if so how did it go? if the reaction was bad or they don't yet you can skip this part though I'm going to continue to pray that when the time comes everything goes alright, that brave and you have a great relationship going forward, and that you are still able and want to marry each other. second question how was highschool? was it fun did you enjoy it? I know right now we are really struggling with our grades and assignments and we are worried we won't graduate or get into the Digipen but remember I believe in you God believes in you and I just know you'll succeed and even if things don't go the way you expect it to just know you have a bright future ahead even if it doesn't seem like it. just hang in there. ok third question well actually it's multiple subjects so I don't know if you could call it a singular question but I'm too lazy to separate it (I'm currently typing this in the airbnb) did you complete anything on your hopes and dreams list? like for example wear mascara, get fit, get your driver's license, buy your first house or apartment, Etc. if not I hope you do because it's never too late. lastly how's life going for you right now in this very moment I know its either good or extremely crappy (you might laugh at how reluctant I was to type that lol) if you're still in Ohio I hope you're happy and are able to get through all the tough times and if you're in Washington or somewhere else I hope everything is going good. if this letter is coming to you in a time of sorrow or sadness I know it may not mean much to you but I want you to know everything will be ok you might not believe this but you are an amazing strong person you are kind, caring, sweet, funny, and compassionate. at times you might think of yourself as mean or horrible or wretched but that simply isn't true, to be human is to make mistakes it means to falter and sometimes not know what to do or make bad decisions but that is what helps us learn and grow as people. I hope you don't let any of your troubles poison your outlook on yourself I know we've struggled with this for a very long time especially when it comes to looks but no matter what anyone says you are a beautiful person who deserves so much. please continue to pray and have faith in God for he has great things in store for you even if it might not seem like it.
