Happy Birthday, My Love! As you read this letter, a whole year will have slipped by, and I'm sending you a piece of my heart from the past. I want these words to find you filled with joy, surrounded by love, and stepping closer to all your dreams. I need you to know something and you might know this already but it's more than you know, I love you, I really, really do. The love I have for you is as wide as the sky and as deep as the ocean. It's the kind of love that doesn't fade with time or distance. It's real, and it's been the beat to every song my heart has ever sung. We can't predict where life has taken us now, but no matter what, remember this, my love for you was never a lie. It has always been as true. Yes, there were moments you hurt me and I hurt you, and tears have been my silent companions more times than I'd hoped, but my heart chose to wait. I chose to wait because you are worth every second, every tear, every smile. But, we're only human, and we all have our breaking points. If the day comes that waiting feels like holding onto the last leaf of autumn, know that I tried my best. I always want you to be safe, to learn more each day, to love yourself, and to take care of the precious life you have. And if I've ever caused you pain, I'm sorry.
