remember these things.

Kittykat, I hope twenty years from now you are just as lucky and happy as you are at this moment. You're in love with a beautiful person who cares about you very much. He might not trust you much, but he does love you. (He told me so!) You know who he is, I think. You're no longer in love with an older man, which was a bad idea. You've made some pretty bad mistakes, being a hopeless romantic. But it runs in the family. Just look at Dad! You're dynamic right now. People are just starting to pay attention to your ideas, to what you have to say. You're making a big noise! It could be your life. (I wouldn't know; I still haven't decided on a major.) So twenty years from now you might be an activist married to a beautiful lawyer who can finally trust you. Your parents might even be okay with it. You might have a little girl. Or you could have a completely different life from the one I imagine for you. (Like I said, I don't really know yet.) But I hope you remember that you have a good life now. You have a fighting chance. I hope between the time I send this email and the time you receive it we can realize our full potential. You're so lucky. You're so beautiful. I love you very, very much.
