Time Travelled — almost 2 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, COVID 19: My experience By: Nash Jenson In the early 2020’s, the world changed forever. There was a virus called COVID 19. Stores shut down. Fast food restaurants shut down. Everything and everyone went into quarantine and 7,004,407 as of March 7, 2024 have DIED. On the other hand, 703,961,410 cases have been confirmed as of March 7, 2024. I personally was not worried about the virus, probably because I was in the 3-4th grade at the time. COVID ruined the schools and businesses. I still see homeless people on the streets holding up signs saying something like COVID ruined their life, because their business was shut down, which was probably true. COVID ruined a lot of things. For example, as a maybe 9 or 10 year old 3rd or 4th grader, I was in the prime time to go to playgrounds and fast food parks. I was the perfect size to scamper around in the tight spaces and just run around and have fun. By the time the parks and fast food places opened again, I was much too tall and big to fit in the spaces that the parks provided. I still am too big and tall to have fun at the parks. Another aspect of COVID is online school. I don’t have facts for this, it is just personal opinion, but I think that COVID actually helped the world technologically advance. Take online school, for example kids had to have a computer to do their school work, and lots of adults had to have zoom calls and/or work from home. Some people, like some of my extended family, never even got COVID. As of July 5 2023, it says that 1 in 4 people never got COVID. So, COVID really was a big thing that ruined some lives even because some people didn’t even get it.
