Dear 17-year-old me in year thirteen at Karamū,
Look at me now all grown up finally made it to the last year of high school. I hope it is my best year yet. I hope I have passed NCEA levels 1,2 and 3 with sixty percent or more on all my exams. I hope I have got an after-school job; a nice car or scooter and I hope I mostly still walk to school every day with my mate Torgan. I have probably just got I my braces off I hope I like my new straight teeth. I really hope that I have let go of all the worries that used to bother me and that mum has finally become good at taking me to lots of concerts. The big question is what Uni degree have I chosen to do first? I guess that I am going to have to wait a couple of years to find out.
Here is a bit of a time capsule for me...
Today's date is the 08/02/2024
Favorite song: Stick season by Noah Karn
Favorite toy’s: Sparky the dog and Nono the Crocodile
Favorite food: Macaroni and cheese
Favorite Movie’s: Spirited, Harry potter and the goblet of fire, Velveteen rabbit and Coda.
My favorite bit of advice is keep going and never give up and do hard things if they are the right thing to do. If things are difficult just breathe.
I hope that I have an amazing last year at high school and have an amazing time at university.
Keep calm and keep doing what you are doing.
