hey future me, i hope you are more than what i am today. you sent this exactly a year ago. what are you doing now? you've graduated from high school. do you feel more independent? wiser? cooler? hah, you were never cool. i wonder if you managed to weasel your way into harvard. is the winning streak still in tact, or did you and roydan mess it up? i have no idea what to write... a lot can change in a year. last year you met a great guy, but he's gone now. i wonder if you'll ever meet anyone so kind, smart, and funny. do you remember when he stole a flower from the cafeteria to give to you? do you remember when you guys would sneak out in the middle of the night and walk through the neighborhood? and that one time it rained? he promised you forever, but 5000 miles can make people forget. i still love him. i hope you dont. get up! get out! live a little before you go on to college. this is your last change to be an immature, irresponsible high school student. i hope i havent made any big mistakes between now and wherever you are when you are reading this. love yourself, try to see the bright side of things, and i'll see you on the otherside
