A letter from Nov 20, 2023

Time Travelled — over 2 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Today is your first official day as program manager at work. we currently work at Supported Solution, and today is day 1 of being a program manager. Sara is leaving in just over a week, Thanksgiving is on Thursday, and so we are going to take the time to learn as much as we can this week. I'm hoping that by the time I am reading this, that I still will be working at Supported Solution. I think this is the very first job where I actually do not want to leave. we have had a ton of other jobs, but this one is safe and comfortable. I can be myself here and also take the time off that I need, when needed. I'm sure some things are going to change as I become a PM, however, I really hope that I still love it just as much as I do today. I have worked here for about 1.5 years, and would love to stay here for a minimum of 4 years. My first year, I was an EC. Or well, first 10 months. Then in February of 2023, i got promoted to QA specialist. I was in that role for the next 9 months, until now. Now I am hoping to stay in this PM role for the next 3 years, minimum. 3 years of management experience will put me in a really great spot moving forward. 3 years from now I will be 30, and that is when I want to start having kids and hopefully hannah and I will own a home by then. We are still living at the whittaker, a 1 bedroom apartment that we pay $2750 each month for, and that is including all utilities and parking fees. I am so ready to be in a house. Anyways, it is 7:54am and I need to start work, so here's to a great first day as program manager, and I know that I will be very excited to read this letter in the future. Never forget that you are an awesome person and many people love you. You look great and past Katie would be very jealous of where you are now. And I am talking about past Katie in the current time frame, like 2019/2020 Katie. They wouldn't believe where we are now. And I am so excited to see where we are at in life, when we read this letter. I love you, and keep being totally awesome (man I hope we still understand that reference) Love, Katie
