A letter from Nov 08, 2023

Time Travelling — almost 2 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I am starting this letter the same way I started before. Many more happy returns of the day. There are a lot of things I want to say to you, but the words are flooding in my mind, that I am unable to express in words. You see, I am at the stage of my life, where I have currently started my PhD in Alagappa University. The previous me in 2022, would have no idea about this. Neither did I. Sometimes it really seems surreal, but here I am. Coming 2024, you would have completed your first year as a research scholar and PhD student. I assure you that it is not going to be an easy journey and you personally have to make a lot of sacrifices for the sake of your degree. But that shouldn't discourage you from pursuing this voyage. Things will slowly get better. It won't be fast, but it won't be absent. Develop your skills and knowledge. That is the only thing that is going to be helpful in the longer run. Take the opportunities you have and don't worry about the opportunities you might have missed. This is going to take you atleast four or five years. So don't lose your motivation. Time will heal your wounds. The only thing you can do is be patient and keep on carrying out your work. I wish you the best and the things that I couldn't experience will one day be experienced by you. Long live and prosper.
