Dear Aaron in the year 2026. Right now that year seems so ridiculous but as the years go by, everything would seem so ridiculous, wont it? I am in matric a few days before I begin finals. You should be in your third year at Pretoria University studying to become a food scientist. I hope that is going well for you.
I decided to write this letter because I have so many goals, plans and ideas that I cannot wait to start experiencing. What does 3 years from now hold for me? Only you know that and I'm excited to figure out! Today is just after 1 week I turned 18. The day I have been waiting for, for so long! I can do so much more now that the world sees me as an adult but yet I feel so vulnerable and scared because this is all so new to me. What if I mess up during finals, will it matter much? are you only in second year because I failed to get into university. Its all so stressing and it scares me. But I have amazing and supporting parents who never doubts me and will help me on the way no matter what happens. You should just have turned 21! HAPPY BRITHDAY. i know we love our birthdays! I hope that stays the same <3
Your best friend is Dyuthi. I'm intrigued to know if she is still your best friend. I love her so much but I've loved people before and for some reason it never works out. But I have a good feeling about her. She wanted to become a chef. Is she still going to be one.
The most important thing that I want to know is, are you happy? Are you happy with the choices we have made? Obviously there is going to be the odd skrew up but generally happiness is my main goal! We are not quite near our Netherlands goal but is that still the goal. I cant really imagine still living in South Africa but I'm sure whatever we have decided is for the best. I cant wait to be you but for now I'm going to enjoy the journey in order to meet you.
Now I want you to read these goals and evaluate weather we have completed or still needing a bit of time. It doesn't matter weather we have completed these goals , its just a scope. But what matters is that we haven't given up on what we really want, even if these goals change a million times. 21 is not old, you still have time. And weather people say it or not, know that I love me and I love you.
1) complete matric and begin studies at Pretoria university, even if it took us another year!
2) Visit Grahamstown again!
3) Have earned a distinction during University (80%)
4) Have had any firsts in the love department <3
5) Always help mommy and daddy when you can. They have sacrificed so much for me to get to you!
Anyways I'm off to shower before Rachel gets here so we can study math's for next week's Final! YOU AND I HAVE GOT THIS AARON!!!!
