Dear future me,
I am lying in bed browsing reddit. This website seems interesting - I guess there's a novelty in receiving an email from your past self, compared to seeking them out via diary.
Next week I am going to the Netherlands. It'll be my first proper public talk, which is very scary.
This evening I watched Bake Off with Amy over a video call. It was bread week this week, and I some people did a very bad job of it.
My family is very happy, and that makes me happy too.
You can't reply to this email, so I'll have to speculate on what you might have said. Three years in the future will be October 2026. You're coming up on 27 years old: that's crazy! I'm sure that you'll look back on my current self with a feeling of nostalgia and growth. It's nice to think about how much you've changed - there's nothing quite like it. I'm certainly very different to my almost-21-year-old self. Has society collapsed yet? I'm guessing not.
I hope you're happy and enjoying each day.
Good luck with being 27 and all that.
-Harrison
