Dear FutureMe,
Wow, it's wild to think so much has changed just in the last few months!
First up, I'm stoked to finally be in my own house instead of renting. Having a true home base that I'm working towards owning feels amazing - total gamechanger. The neighbors are chill too, especially the little dude next door who reminds me of kid me. Good times bonding over shared experiences! How's that relationship now?
Big ups also for landing steady remote work! My research and freelancing client has been clutch, bringing in consistent income so I can support myself while still job hunting. Never thought my skills would translate online so well! Those contests I did must've paved the way. You still doing the whole work from home thing? We gotta build an agency or something!
And it's been so nice being close to the fam, literally right next door in my own space. Having their support nearby, plus my furballs Cantik and Cio, has worked wonders for my mental health. Cio's just a 2 months baby, and Cantik is one patient mama dealing with her lol. No longer desperate for a relationship when I've got my little family. Can focus on me and my career first. Hope everyone's happy and healthy now, with Cio being a big sweetie!
For real though, this year has shown me how staying determined pays off. Remember that unemployment/isolation, and those feeling of "lost in life" grind all too well. But now with income, privacy, fam/pets close, and a clean space I control, I feel empowered, productive, ready to crush it. Insane glow-up from the past decade of struggles (slowly downward spiral since 2010, goin rapidly in 2016-everything vanished and shattered, 2020 pandemic, and just now I can have my insomnia slightly cured and those dark depressed thoughts not appearing much anymore!).
To future me: appreciate how far you've come! But eyes forward, more challenges ahead. We got this tho, we know the grind. Never stop pushing.
Stay up homie,
Your Past Self
