Time Travelled — almost 3 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Dear FutureMe, So the Lord just taught me a lesson from His words. From the epistle of James, it said that every man is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. And when the desire conceived gives birth to sin. And when sin grows strong gives forth to *****. I examined my own desires for this past few weeks. I realized, I've been desiring to be very beautiful, to have a perfect hair, perfect skin, perfect outfit, desiring people to look up on me, to receive compliments, to hear those tingling words, desiring men to like me, or my the guy that I like fall for me. I desire to be so good-looking and attractive so that people will be pleased by me. Gustong kong tingalain nila ako. Na all heads turn when I pass them by. That is my worldly desire. Then I realized the sins that rooted because of those desires. Naging mayabang ako sa sarili ko. I feel so proud when I'm looking at the mirron thinking I am more beautiful than this, than that, and people will like me more. Napakayabang ko to the point na bumaba na ang tingin ko sa iba dahil sa itsura nila. I wasn't humble anymore like how the Lord taught me. Gusto ko na din bumili ng mga pampaganda and all those good clothes just to improve my look. I became obsessed with physical beauty. I tend to subconciously judge other girls na sa socmed na im prettier than her, like that. Very very proud and evil thoughts. So to you my future self, please stay lowly, stay humble like what Jesus told you to be. Not to lean on the standards of this world. For men looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. That they should love you because of who you are as a person, not by how you look. You know, all things that are good came from God. Beautiful faces are created by God. But He choses a beautiful heart and soul than looks. For looks are deceiving. Sana huwag kang magpakalunod sa beauty standards ng mundo to the point na maliitin mo na ang iba na hindi abot ito o mas mababa sayo. God told us to be meek and gentle and modest. May you remember the times that you are so filled with the Holy Spirit, your heart was so glad, that you don't even worry about the cares of this world. Just you and Jesus, and it made you very gladšŸ¤
